To Our Wonderful Waiuku Community

In response to recent COVID-19 cases identified in the community, New Zealand has moved into Lockdown

For BOTH the Unichem Waiuku and Unichem Waiuku Medical pharmacies things will change a little to how we normally operate. Here is a reminder:

 

  • MASK wearing in the Pharmacy is MANDATORY - Staff and customers must wear masks at essential services, such as supermarkets, pharmacies, dairies, and service stations. PLEASE HAVE A MASK ON WHEN YOU ENTER OUR STORE.
  • ** DO NOT ** come into the pharmacy if you have just had a Covid test. You will be provided with a paper slip that has a phone number on it to contact us, so we can help if you need a prescription. Call us if you need assistance first.
  • Restricted customer numbers in-store. This is due to the 2-metre social distancing required.
  • Increased sanitisation, hygiene, and cleaning protocols ( please sanitise on entry at one of our sanitiser stations )
  • Anyone who has cold or flu symptoms should get a test and stay home until you have a negative test result. You can find your local testing facility at https://www.healthpoint.co.nz/covid-19/
  • Scan in using the Covid scanning app or sign in if you don’t have the app. Turn on the blue tooth function on your tracing app
  • Screens will be up to limit exposure
  • Contactless payment to be used wherever possible
  • There may be longer wait times so please be patient
  • We ask you to please remain calm. Do not come in unless it is urgent. Our phone lines are inundated and our team is working hard to manage all enquiries.
  • WHEN PICKING UP A PRESCRIPTION, please phone ahead. That way we can give you a rough time frame as to when you can expect your script to be ready. Upon pick up, you will be required to wait outside the pharmacy or in your car until your script is ready.

  • Help keep our pharmacy staff safe! If you are unwell DO NOT go into the pharmacy - call ahead for advice or to arrange prescriptions.

No one wants to be here again, but we are so PLEASE remember to be KIND, PATIENT, and know we are ALL trying to do the best we can. Please be compassionate and check in on people who are by themselves. There is always heightened anxiety for some around this time
